Prague Castle Gardens

The gardens at Prague Castle are terraced up a steep hill. They step down to the City of Prague, the castle sitting protectively over the city.

Prague has many churches of a variety of denominations. Cathedrals are very ornate and I was allowed to photograph the interiors. Unfortunately with no tripod, the images are not as good as I would like having the ISO as high as possible.

Can you imagine having this view from YOUR castle! The gardens are still somewhat in flower here in Eastern Europe, but when you are in terraced gardens with this kind of view, no one, and I mean no one looks at flowers. There will be more flowers in future posts. Internet here is such a PAIN!!!!! Below, gardens seen from the terraces at Prague Castle.

I am now in Kalocsa, Hungary, a sleepy little town of 18,000. Prague just has so much to show you which will have to be continued on my return home. Tomorrow, I will be in Croatia with so much to explore.

Wow, such a gorgeous view! Like the previous poster said, it is like a garden of architectural beauty! I just love the copper roofs and towers rising up out of the city. Beautiful!

Fantastic spaces and architecture. I guess if you have a couple hundred years to fine tune things you can really work on perfection. I wonder if today’s uber buildings will have the same staying power.

  4. Donna what a beautiful view and stunning city from the roof view. Love the architecture.
