USAF Thunderbirds- Climb Baby, Climb

USAF Thunderbirds-4-5

Reach for the Stars…

Lately, I have been looking up to the heavens hoping to see raindrops fall. Gazing up from my back garden Thursday, I saw…

the proud and courageous members of the US Air Force piloting the USAF Thunderbirds. You can see a lot more than flowers in my back garden every now and then, and what a better sight to see.

While wishing the rain to fall each evening, I am hoping to have sunny week days for all the activities scheduled in July. Fingers crossed for a nice day for the air show. Rain is predicted, but boy do I hope for blue skies. The jets are amazing against a blue sky.

In their own words, “The Thunderbirds display the pride, precision and professionalism of American Airmen. In every demonstration, the team combines years of training and experience with an attitude of excellence to showcase what the Air Force is all about. The sharply choreographed, drill-style ground ceremony kicks off the demonstration by showcasing the attention to detail and esprit de corps that defines our enlisted members. As the jets take to the skies and fly only a few¬†feet from wingtip to wingtip, the crowd gets a glimpse of the awesome skills and capabilities that all fighter pilots must possess.”

I could not agree more. They are amazing. I saw them in 2011 here at the Niagara Falls Air Base, but got a glimpse Thursday of them in practice as they flew high above my house. The Air Show is this weekend and I hope not to miss it this time around. Looking to Sunday… Enjoy and give thanks to our airmen for their service. If I get on base to see them, I will have more photos of these astonishing pilots and their Thunderbirds.
